The Assam Public Service Commission takes its applications online at apscrecruitment.in, and its 2026 advertisements set the same rule for both pictures: a recent photograph of 50 to 200 kilobytes, taken no more than three months earlier, and a signature of 50 to 200 kilobytes. The floor of 50 KB catches many people out, because a cropped signature photo is usually far smaller. Drop in your photo and frame the head and shoulders: the result is a 413 × 531 pixel portrait, the usual passport shape printed at 300 DPI, inside the range. Drop in a picture of your signature and the cleaner makes the ink dark and the paper white, then fits it into 709 by 236 pixels and brings it up to at least 50 KB. The advertisement sets no pixel sizes, so ours are labelled as our choice on every slot. Whatever you add is processed on our server to make the two files and removed from it right away. ## The photograph Use a photo taken within the last three months, as the advertisement asks; one from an older application may be refused at document verification. Face the camera in good light against a plain background, with no cap or dark glasses, and keep the head and the top of the shoulders in the frame. A sharp, well-lit photo at this pixel size usually lands near the lower end of the range; if it is smaller, the file is padded up to 50 KB without changing how it looks. ## The signature Sign on plain white paper with a dark pen and photograph the signature straight on, without shadows. Because the signature must be at least 50 KB, it is made at a generous 6 by 2 centimetre size at 300 DPI, which keeps every stroke clear when the Commission prints it on the admit card. Sign the way you will sign the attendance sheet and the answer script at the examination hall. ## Documents in PDF The same advertisement asks for certificates such as proof of age, qualifications and category as PDF files of at most 4 MB, scanned at 200 DPI in greyscale. Those are not part of this kit; our scanned PDF tool can bring a large scan under the 4 MB limit. ## Saving the pair Name both files after the advertisement number, and take a fresh photo once three months have gone by. ## Frequently asked questions ### Why is my signature refused as too small? The advertisement asks for at least 50 KB. The signature made here is brought up to that. ### How recent must the photo be? Not older than three months, according to the advertisement. ### What pixel size does APSC want? It does not say; the sizes here are our choice and marked as such. ### Do you store my pictures? No. They are turned into your files on our server and wiped afterwards. ### Is this for Arunachal PSC too? No, this page follows the Assam Public Service Commission.
