How it works

  1. Add your images

Drag and drop, paste, or pick files. They upload over an encrypted connection.

  2. Pick a quality or a target size

Use the quality slider, or tell it exactly how many KB or MB you need.

  3. Download

Save each file, or grab them all at once as a ZIP.

This tool is built for compressing many photos in one pass: drop in or select a whole folder's worth of images, set a quality or target size once, and every file gets compressed with the same settings on our own servers. The files travel over an encrypted connection, and how many you can add at once depends only on your plan's batch size.

Once finished, review each result individually if needed, or just use "Download all (ZIP)" to get every compressed file in one archive. Free accounts can process 20 images per batch; Pro raises that to 500 and adds larger file-size limits too.

The whole batch is uploaded over an encrypted connection and compressed on our own servers in the EU. We do not keep the originals, and the results are deleted automatically within one hour, so download the ZIP once it is ready rather than leaving the page open for later.

One setting for the batch, exceptions where you need them

The settings panel applies to every image by default, which is what you want for a folder of similar photos. Real folders are rarely that tidy. Click any thumbnail and switch on Only this image, and that file takes its own format, quality, size or crop while the others keep the shared settings. It is how you give the one screenshot in a set of photos PNG output, or let a banner keep a larger size than the thumbnails around it.

Each thumbnail also has a tick box. Tick the ones you want and use Download selected to take part of the batch and leave the remainder.

What you see while a large batch runs

A batch progress bar shows how many are finished and how many are left. Files are sent four at a time, so a batch of a hundred keeps moving without choking your connection. If one fails, because it is damaged or is not an image at all, the others carry on; failures are counted and listed by name, and Retry failed runs only those again. Cancel stops what is still in flight and keeps every result that had already finished.

Mixed folders, duplicates and odd formats

With the format on its default, each file keeps the format it came in: JPEGs stay JPEG, PNGs stay PNG. Formats that browsers and most programs cannot show, HEIC from an iPhone for example, come back as JPEG, or as PNG when they have transparency. Pick a format in the panel and the whole batch is converted to it in the same pass.

The batch is also checked against itself. When two files are identical, or nearly so, as with the same photo exported twice, a notice points them out so you do not carry both forward.

Frequently asked questions

How many images can I compress at once?

20 per batch on the free plan, 500 on Pro.

Do all images use the same settings?

Yes, the quality or target size you set applies to the whole batch; change a setting and everything is recompressed.

Can I download everything as one file?

Yes, "Download all (ZIP)" packages every finished result into a single ZIP.

Is there a faster way to add many files?

Select a whole folder in your file picker, or drag a group of files directly onto the drop zone.

What if I have more than 500 images?

Run them as several batches, or use the API. It takes the same settings as the editor, and an API key from your account page works from a script or a build step.

How long can I wait before downloading the results?

Up to an hour. After that the files are deleted and the batch would have to be run again, so take the ZIP as soon as it is ready.
