# Resize your signature for CGPSC

Get the signature JPG under 100 KB, cropped to the ink, that the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission's online application asks for.

## How it works

1. **Add your images** Drag and drop, paste, or pick files. They upload over an encrypted connection.
2. **Pick a quality or a target size** Use the quality slider, or tell it exactly how many KB or MB you need.
3. **Download** Save each file, or grab them all at once as a ZIP.

The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission takes your photograph live during registration: a link is sent to your mobile, and you capture the photo with the phone's camera. The one file you prepare yourself is your signature, signed with a black ballpoint pen on white paper, scanned, and saved as a JPG of at most 100 kilobytes.

The advertisement adds a detail that trips many people up: scan only the signature, not the empty paper around it. Add a picture of your signature here and the blank space is trimmed away, the paper made white and the ink black, and the result saved at 472 by 157 pixels, far under the limit.

The rule is from Appendix 4 of the State Service Examination 2025 advertisement, in Hindi, linked with the day it was read. It gives no pixel size, so the 6 by 2 centimetre shape at 200 DPI is our choice. Your picture is deleted from our server once the file is ready.

## Signing

Use a black ballpoint pen, not a gel or felt pen, and plain white paper. Sign in your usual way, a little larger than normal so the strokes stay clear after cropping, and photograph it straight on in daylight without your hand's shadow across it.

If the first attempt looks shaky, sign a few times on the sheet and photograph the best one, cropping the others out.

## Only the signature

A scan of a whole sheet with a small signature in one corner is what the advertisement tells you to avoid. The cleaner here finds the ink and crops close around it, leaving a narrow white margin, so the uploaded image is the signature and nothing else.

A margin is left on purpose: a signature cropped right to the edge of its strokes can look cut off when the portal shrinks it for display.

## The live photo

For the photo, the advertisement asks that your face be clear, both ears visible and eyes open, against a wall of a single light colour, with the face filling about 80 per cent of the capture screen. You can recapture it until it looks right before pressing Verify and Upload.

## After uploading

Once the photo and signature are uploaded, press Save; the Apply button for the post then becomes available on your dashboard. Keep the signature file for later applications.

## Keeping the signature consistent

The signature you upload is the one the Commission compares with the attendance sheet and your answer book. Use the same file for every CGPSC application and sign the same way in the examination hall.
