# Convert JPG to a PDF under 200 KB

Several pages in one PDF, under 200 KB altogether, with enough room left for the small print to stay legible.

## How it works

1. **Add your images** Drag and drop, paste, or pick files. They upload over an encrypted connection.
2. **Pick a quality or a target size** Use the quality slider, or tell it exactly how many KB or MB you need.
3. **Download** Save each file, or grab them all at once as a ZIP.

Two hundred kilobytes is where a multi-page document becomes practical. It is the limit many universities and government services give for a set of semester mark sheets, a filled-in form with its annexure, or a rent agreement of a few pages, where 100 KB would leave each page too blurred to check.

Add the pages, put them in order and download. The 200 KB covers the whole file: the document's own structure is allowed for, then each page receives an equal share, about 64 KB each for three pages. Removing or adding a page reshares the limit and remakes the rest.

Four pages at this size still read comfortably when the photos are sharp. For longer documents, the 500 KB page gives more room, or the scanned PDF tool can bring an existing PDF down to a size.

## Building a tidy document

Photograph every page the same way, from above and in the same light, so the PDF looks like one document rather than a stack of snapshots. Crop each picture to its page before adding it. Pages of different shapes are each centred on their own page, so a receipt and an A4 sheet can sit in the same file.

Number your pages on paper first if the order matters to the reviewer; it is easy to drag a thumbnail into the wrong place.

## Text and stamps

Seals, signatures and handwritten notes are often the part an officer looks at most closely. If one of them comes out soft, remove a page you do not strictly need: fewer pages means more bytes for each.

## When a page refuses

A page that cannot fit its share is flagged instead of being sent over the limit. Retaking it straighter, or scanning instead of photographing, usually solves it.

## Handled privately

The pictures are made into pages on our server and wiped from it as soon as that is done; your browser puts the pages together into the PDF.

## Typical 200 KB uploads

Semester mark sheets, a filled-in application with its declaration page, a short agreement or a medical certificate with its prescription all fit here. It is also the size some state services set for a single combined proof of identity and address.

With three pages, each page has more than three times the room it would have in a 50 KB file, which is the difference between readable and guessed.

## Check before sending

Scroll through every page of the downloaded PDF at the zoom an officer would use. A page that looks fine as a thumbnail can still have a blurred date; it is quicker to retake it now than to answer a rejection later.

## Frequently asked questions

### How many pages fit in 200 KB?

Three or four clear pages usually; more if they are mostly white space.

### Is the limit per page?

No, for the whole PDF; the pages share it equally.

### Can I mix photos and scans?

Yes. Each picture becomes a page at its own shape.

### Can I reorder pages?

Yes, by dragging the thumbnails before you download.

### Do you keep my documents?

No. Each picture is wiped from our server after its page is made.

### My document already is a PDF. What now?

Use the scanned PDF tool, which shrinks an existing PDF to a size.

### What if one page shows a warning?

It could not fit its share. Remove a page or retake that one.
