# Convert JPG to a PDF under 500 KB

A longer PDF from your pictures, up to half a megabyte in total, for bundles of documents that must stay legible.

## How it works

1. **Add your images** Drag and drop, paste, or pick files. They upload over an encrypted connection.
2. **Pick a quality or a target size** Use the quality slider, or tell it exactly how many KB or MB you need.
3. **Download** Save each file, or grab them all at once as a ZIP.

Half a megabyte is the size visa centres, banks and court e-filing services often allow for supporting documents. It holds ten or more pages of ordinary paperwork without the text going soft, which makes it the right size for a property deed, a bank statement of several months or a bundle of ID proofs.

Drop in the pages, arrange them and download one PDF. The half megabyte is the limit for the complete file: once the PDF's own overhead is set aside, each page gets an equal part, about 49 KB each for ten pages. If you add a missed page, every page is remade at its new share.

Because each page still gets a reasonable budget, photos with fine print, tables or small stamps come through clearly. For two or three pages only, a smaller target such as 200 KB is usually enough and uploads faster.

## Preparing a long bundle

Take the pictures in reading order so the list starts in the right sequence, and check it once before downloading; long bundles are where a page goes missing. Crop every picture to its paper, and keep them all upright: a sideways page costs as many bytes but is harder to read.

Large files of many pages take a moment to make; each thumbnail shows when its page is ready.

## Statements and tables

Bank statements and tables have thin lines and small digits that blur first. Photograph them closer, in two halves if needed, and add both halves as separate pages; the PDF stays under the limit either way.

## If a page is flagged

A page that cannot meet its share is marked over the limit. With many pages that usually means one very dark or busy photo; retake it, or remove a page that is not needed.

## Your documents

They are processed on our server only to make the pages and are deleted right after; the pages are joined into the PDF in your browser.

## Where 500 KB is the limit

Visa application centres often cap each supporting document here, banks use it for statements and loan papers, and many court and land-record portals for scanned deeds. These documents run long, which is why the extra room matters.

If a centre allows more than one file, splitting a very long bundle by topic, such as identity, income and travel, makes it easier for the officer as well.

## Final check

Open the PDF and page through it from start to end. Look for pages in the wrong order, a page photographed twice, and any page where a figure or name cannot be made out. Fix those before you upload; the rest will look the same on the reviewer's screen.

## Frequently asked questions

### How many pages fit in 500 KB?

Ten or more ordinary pages, depending on how busy they are.

### Is the 500 KB shared between pages?

Yes. The whole PDF stays under it.

### Can I use it for a visa application?

Yes, where 500 KB is the limit; check your centre's own rules.

### Will small text stay readable?

Usually, if the photos are sharp and taken close enough.

### Are my documents kept?

No. They are deleted from our server once the pages exist.

### Can I go above 500 KB?

Yes. Use the 1 MB page or set your own target.

### Can I rotate a sideways page?

Rotate the picture first with the rotate tool, then add it here.
