# Convert JPG to a PDF under 50 KB

Add your scans or photos and download one PDF that comes in under 50 KB, ready for a strict upload box.

## How it works

1. **Add your images** Drag and drop, paste, or pick files. They upload over an encrypted connection.
2. **Pick a quality or a target size** Use the quality slider, or tell it exactly how many KB or MB you need.
3. **Download** Save each file, or grab them all at once as a ZIP.

Fifty kilobytes is one of the tightest limits an online form will set, and it is common for a caste certificate, a marksheet or a proof of identity on exam and recruitment portals. A single phone photo of a page is often two or three megabytes, so it has to shrink by a factor of fifty or more before it fits.

Add the pictures in the order you want the pages. Each becomes a JPEG page, and the 50 KB is shared between them after room is left for the PDF's own structure, so the whole file lands under the limit rather than each page on its own. Add or remove a page and the others are remade to their new share.

With one page, 50 KB keeps an A4 document readable when the photo was taken straight on in good light. With three or four pages each gets far less, and fine print starts to blur, so put only the pages the form asks for into this file.

## Getting a sharp result at 50 KB

Photograph the page flat on a table, from directly above, in daylight and without the shadow of your phone across it. Crop away the table around the paper first: every pixel of background costs bytes the text could have used. A clean scan of a typed certificate holds up much better than a curled, dim photo.

If the result looks too soft, try the document scanner page first to flatten and whiten the page, then bring that file back here.

## When the limit cannot be met

A very busy page, or many pages in one file, may not fit in 50 KB however hard it is squeezed. The file is then marked as over the limit instead of being passed off as fitting. Split the document into two uploads if the form allows it, or use fewer pages.

## Page size and order

Each picture becomes one page at its own shape, centred, in the order of the list; drag the thumbnails to change it. The download is one PDF, named for the first picture when there is only one page.

## Your files

The pictures are processed on our server and removed from it once your PDF is ready. Nothing is kept for later, and the PDF itself is built in your browser from the finished pages.

## Where 50 KB is asked for

Recruitment boards ask for it for category certificates, a no-objection certificate or the proof of age, and entrance exams use it for the class 10 mark sheet. These are usually one page, which is exactly what 50 KB suits best. When a form wants a two-sided card, add both sides and look at the result before uploading.

The page counts are read off the list as you add pictures, so you can watch the per-page share fall as the PDF grows.

## Before you upload

Open the downloaded PDF and zoom in on the smallest text the reviewer must read, such as a certificate number or a date. If it is clear at the zoom a person would use, the file is good; if not, remove a page or take a sharper photo and make it again.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is the 50 KB for the whole PDF or each page?

For the whole PDF. The pages share it.

### Can I add more than one image?

Yes. Each becomes a page, though more pages means less detail on each.

### Will a phone photo work?

Yes, if it is sharp and well lit; crop away the background first.

### What if it shows over the limit?

The pages could not be made small enough. Remove a page or retake a clearer photo.

### Does it accept PNG and HEIC?

Yes. Any common picture format is turned into JPEG pages.

### Are my documents stored?

No. They are deleted from our server once the pages are made.

### Can I make the PDF even smaller?

Use the 50 KB page as a start and set a lower number in the settings.
