They upload over an encrypted connection. 2. **Pick a quality or a target size** Use the quality slider, or tell it exactly how many KB or MB you need. 3. **Download** Save each file, or grab them all at once as a ZIP. OJAS, the Online Job Application System of the Government of Gujarat, carries the recruitments of the Gujarat Public Service Commission and of many other state bodies. Its One Time Registration stores one photo and one signature for every application you make, and the limit is strict: no more than 15 kilobytes for each file, both in JPG. The registration page gives the sizes in centimetres: the photo 5 cm tall and 3.6 cm wide, the signature 2.5 cm tall and 7.5 cm wide. Add your photo here and it is cropped to that shape, made at 213 by 295 pixels and squeezed under 15 KB; add a picture of your signature and it is cleaned, cropped tight and set into 443 by 148 pixels. The sizes come from the instructions printed on the OJAS registration page, which are in Gujarati; the quotes on each slot are our translation. The page gives no resolution, so the 150 DPI used for the pixels is ours. Uploaded pictures stay on our server only while the files are made. ## The photograph Scan or photograph a recent passport-style picture, with your face clear and filling most of the frame. OJAS notes that the photo's quality must be good enough to identify you; at 15 KB a busy background eats into that budget, so a plain one keeps the face sharper. The page suggests rescanning with a different DPI setting when a file comes out over 15 KB. Here that is done for you: the photo is made at a fixed pixel size and compressed until it fits. ## The signature Sign on white paper in black or blue ink, as the page asks. The box is three times as wide as it is tall, so a long, flowing signature suits it; leave some margin around it when you take the picture, and the cleaner will crop to the ink. Ink comes out solid black here, which reads well at the small size and keeps the file far below the limit. ## One registration, many recruitments Because the files are stored in your One Time Registration, they are reused for each advertisement you apply to on OJAS, whether it comes from GPSC, the subordinate services board or another body. If an advertisement asks for a different size, follow that advertisement. ## Keep the files Save both downloads under a clear name. If you ever update your registration, upload the same pair so your photo and signature stay consistent across applications. ## Frequently asked questions ### What is the maximum size on OJAS? 15 KB for the photo and 15 KB for the signature, both JPG. ### What size in centimetres? The photo is 3.6 cm wide and 5 cm tall; the signature 7.5 cm wide and 2.5 cm tall. ### Can I sign in blue? Yes. The page allows black or blue ink on white paper. ### Are my photos kept?
