# Resize a signature to 6 × 2 cm

Place your signature in a 6 by 2 centimetre box at 300 DPI, centred on white, ready for an online form.

## How it works

1. **Add your images** Drag and drop, paste, or pick files. They upload over an encrypted connection.
2. **Pick a quality or a target size** Use the quality slider, or tell it exactly how many KB or MB you need.
3. **Download** Save each file, or grab them all at once as a ZIP.

Six by two centimetres is the signature box many Indian forms describe, from staff selection and banking exams to state recruitment portals, and several of them want it at 300 DPI. At that resolution the box is 709 pixels wide and 236 tall, a long, low shape that suits most signatures written along one line.

Add a photo or scan of your signature and it is fitted into the box whole: nothing is cropped, nothing is stretched, and any space left over is filled with white. The file records 300 DPI, so a form that checks the print size reads exactly 6 by 2 centimetres.

If your form gives a file size as well, for example 10 to 20 KB, set it in the compression settings of the same panel. Need 200 DPI instead? Change the DPI and the pixels follow.

## Signing for a clean result

Sign with a dark pen on plain white paper, a little larger than usual, and photograph it straight from above in daylight. Crop the picture close around the signature before adding it, so the signature fills the box instead of floating in a sea of paper.

For a grey, shadowed photo, run it through the signature cleaner first: it turns the paper white and the ink solid, then bring the result here.

## Why the box is not cropped

A signature cut at the first letter or the final flourish can be rejected as incomplete. Fitting rather than filling keeps every stroke; a long signature just sits with white above and below it.

## Exact numbers

6 centimetres is 2.36 inches. At 300 DPI that is 709 by 236 pixels; at 200 DPI, 472 by 157. The size panel shows the pixel size for whichever DPI you pick.

## Privacy

Your signature is processed on our server and deleted once the file is ready.

## Exam forms with their own pages

Some recruitment boards have their own pages here, built from their notices, such as SSC, IBPS and the state commissions. They apply that board's exact size, DPI and file size, so use them when your exam is listed.

## Other signature sizes

For a 50 by 20 millimetre box, a 3.5 by 1.5 centimetre box or pixel sizes such as 140 by 60, use the matching signature page or type the numbers into the size panel here.

## Checking before upload

Open the file and look at it at full size: the signature should be dark, complete and centred, with an even white margin. If the ink looks thin, sign again with more pressure or a thicker pen; a bold signature survives the small box far better than a faint one.

## Keeping it consistent

Use the same signature file for every stage of one exam. The signature you upload is often printed on the admit card and compared at the hall, so a different one later can cause questions.
