# Stitch screenshots into one long image

Put screenshots one under another at the same width, to share a whole conversation or page as a single picture.

## How it works

1. **Add your images** Drag and drop, paste, or pick files. They upload over an encrypted connection.
2. **Pick a quality or a target size** Use the quality slider, or tell it exactly how many KB or MB you need.
3. **Download** Save each file, or grab them all at once as a ZIP.

A conversation, a recipe, a receipt, a settings page: some things do not fit on one screen, and sending six screenshots in a row loses their order the moment someone replies. Stitching joins them into one tall picture, top to bottom, that reads like a scroll and can be shared, attached or printed as a single file.

Add the screenshots in reading order, or fix the order with the arrows, and combine. Each one is scaled to the same width, the narrowest of them, so screenshots from the same phone line up exactly and those from different devices still fit. Leave the gap at zero for one unbroken scroll, or add a few pixels to show where each screen ends.

PNG keeps text crisp and is the default. The screenshots are processed on our server and deleted once the long picture is made.

## Taking screenshots that join cleanly

Scroll by a little less than a full screen between shots, so each one repeats a line or two of the one before; the overlap makes it easy to check that nothing is missing. Hide anything private first: names, numbers and faces in a group chat are better covered with the redact tool before you share the result.

Take all the screenshots on the same device and in the same orientation, so they share a width and line up without any scaling.

## Removing the repeated bars

Every screenshot carries the phone's status bar at the top and often the app's own bar at the bottom. For a tidier result, crop those off each screenshot with the crop tool first, then stitch the cropped versions together here.

## Long pages from the web

For a web page, there is a simpler way: the website screenshot tool captures a whole page, top to bottom, in one go, without stitching.

Before sending, scroll the long picture from top to bottom and check the order is right.

## Sharing a long screenshot

Most chat apps shrink very tall pictures when you send them as a photo, which makes small text hard to read. Send the long screenshot as a file or document instead, and it arrives at full size. For email, attach it rather than placing it in the message body, where some programs scale it down.

If the result is too large for a form or an email, the compress tools bring it down while the text stays readable; a JPG at quality 85 is usually a good compromise for a long screenshot.

## Frequently asked questions

### How many screenshots can I stitch?

Up to ten in one go. For more, stitch the first ten, then stitch that result with the rest.

### Will the text stay sharp?

Yes. PNG keeps every pixel, and screenshots from the same device are not resized at all.

### Can I stitch them side by side instead?

Yes: choose side by side, or use the combine images page.

### How long can the picture be?

Up to 30,000 pixels, which is about twenty phone screens.

### Are my screenshots kept?

No. They are stitched on our server and wiped from it as soon as you have the long image.

### Can I stitch screenshots from different phones?

Yes. They are scaled to the narrowest one, so the result has one width throughout.

### Will the joins be visible?

Not with the gap at zero: the screens follow each other directly, like a scroll.
