How it works

  1. Add your images

Drag and drop, paste, or pick files. They upload over an encrypted connection.

  2. Pick a quality or a target size

Use the quality slider, or tell it exactly how many KB or MB you need.

  3. Download

Save each file, or grab them all at once as a ZIP.

WebP is what you get when you save pictures from websites today, and a folder of WebP files is hard to pass on. Office programs will not insert them, some mail programs will not preview them, and a printer's upload form has never heard of the format. A PDF has none of these problems. Add the WebP files here and they become the pages of one document.

Each image gets its own page, in the order of the list, and you can move any page with the arrows beside its name. The pages start as A4 with a small margin. Choose Same as the image when every page should take exactly the shape of its picture, which suits material that will only be read on screens.

Twenty images go into a PDF without an account, 500 on Pro. The WebP files are sent over an encrypted connection and prepared on our own servers, and they are deleted there within one hour.

Typical collections that end up here

The same few situations come up again and again. Product pictures saved from a supplier's shop, to be sent to a colleague as a single overview. Pages of an online manual or a recipe saved as images for reading offline. Design references gathered for a client. Charts from a dashboard, wanted in a report. In each case the pictures arrive as WebP because the site served them that way, and the person at the other end wants one file they can open without thinking.

Before sending material that others created, check that you are allowed to pass it on. Saving a picture for your own reference and distributing a document full of them are different things.

What happens to transparency and animation

A PDF page made here is an opaque JPEG, so two features of WebP do not carry over. Transparent areas are filled, with white unless you pick another colour in the editor, and soft edges are blended into that colour. Logos and stickers on a transparent background therefore sit on a white page, which is normally what a document wants.

An animated WebP contributes its first frame only. A page cannot move, and the editor shows a note for each file whose animation was dropped. If the motion matters, a PDF is the wrong container, and sharing the WebP itself or a short video is the better course.

Keeping the document light

WebP files are small because the format is efficient, and their PDF pages will be larger, since each page is stored as a JPEG. A 150 KB WebP typically becomes a page of 200 to 300 KB at the starting quality of 85. For twenty pages that is no cause for concern.

It adds up with large images. If the pictures are several thousand pixels wide and the document is only for reading, switch on Resize and set the long side to 1600 pixels; text and detail stay clear on any screen and the PDF shrinks to a fraction. For images of text, such as saved manual pages, raising the quality to 92 keeps small print crisp.

Frequently asked questions

Why can't I open WebP files in my office program?

Many office and print programs added WebP late or not at all. PDF, by contrast, is read by nearly everything, which is why converting solves the problem.

In what order do the pages appear?

In the order of the image list. Select an image and use the arrows to move it earlier or later; its page number is shown beside the name.

What happens to a transparent WebP?

Its transparent areas are filled with white, or with a colour you set. PDF pages made here have no transparency.

Can each page match the size of its image?

Yes. Choose Same as the image as the page size. Otherwise images are scaled to fit A4 or Letter.

Does the PDF contain the original WebP files?

No. Each page holds a JPEG made from the image. Keep the WebP files if you need them again.

Can I add JPG and PNG images to the same PDF?

This page takes WebP only. The image-to-PDF page on this site accepts every format in one document.
