Supported image formats

We read 139 formats, 258 file extensions in all. Add any of them to a tool on this site and save the result as JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, TIFF, BMP, ICO, JPEG XL, PDF, TGA or PSD.

The list is complete and honest: it also names the formats we cannot convert, and why. Supported means we convert a sample of the format in our own tests or, where no free program writes the format, have converted real files of that kind by hand. Supported, untested means the decoder for it is in place but we had no file of that kind to test with; your own files will tell. Formats marked Pro, the camera RAW formats, are converted on the Pro plan; everything else is free.

There are 127 sample files below, one for almost every supported format. Each shows the same small picture: red at the top, blue at the bottom, a white disc. Test converts a sample here and shows the result; Open in editor loads it into the editor as if you had added it yourself.
